Youthtools
Program funded by IFAD and implemented by PROCASUR that seeks to respond to the needs and demands of rural youth in Central and West Africa and East Africa by testing innovative local solutions previously re-designed and adapted to different territories.
YouthTools is installed within government programs (funded by IFAD) targeting rural women and men interested in improving their services to youth and rural development. Youth-Tools is currently working in four countries: Cameroon, Senegal, Mali and Madagascar. YouthTools promotes knowledge brokering and promotes local knowledge sharing to end rural poverty.
Through learning methodologies and tool testing, YouthTools seeks to improve the practical skills of rural development programmes. It is an opportunity for scaling up local innovations and previously identified good practices that have proven effective in similar contexts and conditions. These tools will be tested during the years 2020 and 2021, to deliver concrete results on the ground and to improve the effectiveness, performance and results of the program, the tools can be extended throughout the program and thus benefit a greater number of rural women and men. Moreover, the YouthTools project in its online platform seeks to provide a space to encourage and empower the young champions of the African regions and around the world, and to make visible along with promoting the human capital of the region’s youth.
