The INCUBATION approach of PEA-JEUNES

A model for transforming unemployed youth into Agropastoral Entrepreneurs

Within the framework of this study of the capitalisation of the PEA-Jeunes incubation system, the exchanges and sharing with the Programme’s teams, the supervisory ministries, the technical and financial partners, the young beneficiaries and the other stakeholders of the programme made it possible to:

 

a) Learn about the structure and functioning of the incubation approach implemented by the programme.

 

b) Understand the process of supporting young people from the formulation of the project idea to their installation as JEAs (Young Agropastoral Entrepreneurs).

 

c) To identify the important changes in the implementation that have contributed to the positive results of the incubation scheme.

 

d) Analyse the key competencies that have been put in place across the different components to carry out the programme and achieve the objectives set out in the programme design note.

 

e) Identify the strategies, approaches and different tools for programme interventions at each stage of implementation.

 

f) Identify and understand the role of the different strategic and operational actors involved in the implementation of the programme since its inception.
