MALI – Report of the baseline study for the FIER and Inclusive projects
YouthTools Programme
To carry out the survey on the current state of development and involvement of financial and business development services and products, training, savings and entrepreneurship from the three target actors for the YouthTools pilot (young agro-pastoralists with small businesses, MFIs and local NGOs), this field study was conducted in October 2020. It served to gather the necessary information through a baseline study that will guide, on the basis of the premises validated by those who participated in the study, the next steps of the pilot and allow for future measurement of the impact and results of the interventions.
The following document is divided into six chapters including the introduction; the methodology used and the fieldwork; the description of the country and the current status of youth entrepreneurship and employment; the field findings organised by type of stakeholder; and finally, the report concludes with the conclusions as well as implications and references to next steps. The questionnaires are attached as an annex.
