The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in partnership with PROCASUR is organizing a knowledge exchange among the G5 Sahel countries in the form of a Regional Learning Route focused on job creation for rural youth.
Participants in the Learning Route will acquire new knowledge and practical skills to design, implement and expand youth employment initiatives in their respective countries, as well as to create new employment opportunities for youth in their own context.
Participants
Countries
This Regional Learning Route will take place in two host countries of the G5 Sahel region, Mauritania and Burkina Faso, which were selected because of the innovative approaches and solutions developed at the local level to create employment opportunities for youth in rural areas.
Due to travel restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Regional Learning Route will be implemented as a hybrid event allowing for the presence and field participation of participants from Mauritania and Burkina Faso, who will be exposed on the ground to good practices identified in their respective countries.
