The Maison de l’Entreprise du Burkina Faso (MEBF) is a private law association legally constituted on 10 September 2002, with the aim of supporting the development of the private sector. Its intervention aims to enable private sector actors to access in one place a structured offer of services dedicated to them, and to ensure a better synergy of the actions of donors and other support organisations.
Through the activities it implements, MEBF maintains close relations with enterprises and therefore has a good knowledge of the constraints they face in their development efforts. Among these constraints, difficulties in accessing finance and the market, and the lack of technical and managerial skills are important and affect a large number of enterprises regardless of size or sector of activity, particularly micro and small enterprises in rural areas.
