The Golfo de Tribugá Bureau of Environmental Planning

Creating and implementing a shared decision-making platform for land-use planning and management.

(ONLY AVAILABLE IN SPANISH)

An instance of articulation and planning for decision making on the territorial management of human activities for the use and management of natural resources. It has the participation and recognition of the different public, private and community actors in the municipality of Nuquí.

It was created in September 2013, as a result of a process of community participation and consultation, developed in the territory for about 10 years and strengthened from the formulation of the Ethno-Development Plan and the leadership of the Consejo Comunitario Mayor Los Riscales and other Minor Councils in the territory.

The Bureau was formally established with the purpose of creating and implementing a shared decision-making platform for land management and planning, with application to the different human activities for the use and exploitation of natural resources. Since then, the different authorities with responsibility in the territory have participated directly in the Roundtable: the Mayor’s Office as the municipal authority, the Los Riscales Community Council as the ethnic territorial authority, the Regional Autonomous Corporation CODECHOCÓ as the environmental authority, the Port Captaincy as the military authority, and the AUNAP, as the fishing authority.
