The CCAFS’s intervention is based on an integrated approach and shows how community resilience to climate change is greatly increased through localizing weather information and disseminating this in a timely manner to farmers so that they can make informed decisions on what to plant and when. Different weather forecasts is undertaken to enable farmers to make informed decisions. Resilience is further boosted by diversification of crops grown and integrating this with livestock keeping. Technologies for adaptation in form of seedlings and fertilizers are availed while government staff also provides extension services.
